Group of Conservation Biology
Leader: Asko Lõhmus
The Group and its members are divided between the Deparment of Zoology and the Department of Botany, both belonging to the Institute of Ecology and Earth Sciences. The objective of Conservation Biology Group is to support conservation and advancement of biodiversity by contributing to basic and applied studies and university education.
Group of Hydrobiology
Leader: Taavi Virro
The Group collaborates closely with the Estonian Marine Institute, especially its Department of Fish Biology and Fisheries. Joint reasearch is coordinated as well as programs for undergraduate and graduate studies. The Group also collaborates with the Centre of Limnology belonging to the Estonian University of Life Sciences.
